御挨拶
~Greetings~
剣術が、刀から竹刀を使うことが主になっていく頃に、剣術を撃剣とも云うようになり、その後、剣道と名称を変化させていきました。
一方で近年になり、撃剣、竹刀剣術を、刀を使用する剣術の為の稽古方法の一つとして捉える見方も定着しています。
私達はその撃剣の稽古法としての側面を体操法と位置付け、剣柔一体となる撃剣を目指し、実験しながら活動しています。
流派に拘ることなく、同じく竹刀による剣術の稽古法である剣道とは違った方向に向かったものを探求しています。剣道とのちょっとした趣の違いを見ていただけたら幸いです。
また当倶楽部は、流派等を超えて、撃剣による交流ができる場にしていこうと画策しています。試合によるルールに縛られない、自身の動きで模擬戦を試せることを目指しています。
As kenjutsu shifted from using swords(katana) to primarily using bamboo swords(shinai), both the terms 'kenjutsu' and 'gekiken' were used, and later, the name evolved into 'kendo'.
On the other hand, in recent years, there has been a growing perspective that views gekiken and shinai kenjutsu as one of the training methods for kenjutsu that involves using a katana.
We position the training aspect of gekiken as a form of exercise, and we are experimenting with gekiken, aiming to become one with kenjutsu and jujutsu.
Without being bound to a particular style, we are exploring something different from kendo, which is also a training method of kenjutsu using shinai. We hope you will see the slight difference in style from kendo.
We also plan to make our club a place where people can interact through gekiken, regardless of style. We aim to be able to try out mock battles with your own movements, without being bound by the rules of a match.
